Base reinforcement in permanent projects
E’GRID biaxial geogrids provide base reinforcement when installed in permanent projects such as airport runways, taxi-ways and apronsor industrial developments. The interlock of E’GRID Biaxial geogrids with granular fill or stone aggregates increases the integrity of the base, improves its bearing capacity and helps control cracking of the structure caused by differential settlement.
Reinforcement of the un-bound layers of roads, rail track-beds and other trafficked areas.
A single layer, or multilayers, of E’GRID Biaxial geogrids laid under and within granular soil fill or stone aggregate layers forms a strong reinforced platform to support traffic loads. GROUND STABILISATION: E’GRID biaxial geogrids can be used in marshland over which a highway or other trafficked area will be built. A layer of E’GRID biaxial geogrids provides stabilization of the of the fillat the base of the structure and a degree of separation of the granular fill from the underlying marshland, that gives the client an optimum design solution.
REINFORCEMENT to control differential settlement: One or several layers of E’GRID biaxial geogrids in fill over softer ground or reclaimed land will help to control local differential settlement, to improve the economics of, for example, road or container yard construction.
REINFORCED PLATFORM: E’GRID biaxial geogrids are the ideal reinforcement elements in very poor terrain conditions, like soft clay and/or muskeg (peat), where industrial storage and construction will be built.
